Kanazawa Medical University Hospital

Kanazawa Medical University Hospital was established in 1974 with a mission to: (1) provide advanced medical care that is not readily available in general hospitals, (2) develop and evaluate cutting-edge medical technologies to advance the field of medicine, and (3) offer clinical training in advanced medicine to cultivate highly skilled doctors. In 1994, the hospital was designated by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare as a Special Functioning Hospital, a facility that provides advanced medical care. Since then, it has maintained the latest and most advanced systems to deliver patient-centered care as a core regional hospital. Today, the hospital functions as one of the largest hospitals in Japan. For foreign patients, international medical coordinators are available to act as specialized staff, ensuring smooth medical care by considering linguistic and cultural backgrounds while providing support and coordinating consultations.
