Kanazawa Medical University Hospital

Kanazawa Medical University (KMU) Hospital opened in 1974. The hospital provides medical training to achieve the following aims: (1) Provision of a high level of medical services; (2) Development and assessment of advanced medical techniques; and (3) Educating good doctors. In 1994, KMU Hospital was designated as an advanced treatment hospital by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare. Since then, it has contributed to the community as a core hospital in the district.
The hospital has 39 departments and 817 beds, with 1,800 doctors, nurses, and other medical professionals. The hospital aims to achieve patient-centered medical care and functions as one of the largest medical centers in Japan.
Our international medical coordinators provide support to overseas patients to smoothly receive medical care, taking language and cultural backgrounds into consideration.
